Jonathan J.M. Nobil
Founder & Managing Member

Jonathan has more than 20 years of experience structuring transactions and advising insurance businesses on merger & acquisition and capital raising activities, and prior to founding Ensurise, served as a Vice President at Dowling Hales where he advised numerous insurance businesses on perpetuation considerations and deal execution. A native Washingtonian, Jonathan started his career in the insurance investment banking group at FBR & Co., where he guided insurance carrier clients through the process of raising over $800 million of equity capital and over $1 billion of aggregate merger, acquisition and advisory volume through a variety of public and private transactions. He then served as the primary Business Development contact at a specialty property & casualty insurance carrier, working on acquisitions and new initiatives, financial planning & analysis, capital modeling and other corporate finance matters. Jonathan earned degrees in Economics and History from Duke University and studied History as a Lord Rothermere Scholar at New College, University of Oxford. Mr. Nobil holds Series 7, 63 and 79 registrations with FINRA, and is a licensed property & casualty insurance producer.

Jonathan also serves in numerous leadership and volunteer capacities, including as a Trustee of the Federal City Council, former Co-Chair of the Board of Trustees of Cesar Chavez Public Charter School, former Representative to the Defined Contribution Plan Subcommittee for the Protestant Episcopal Cathedral Foundation, former Vice Chair and Treasurer of Advisory Neighborhood Commission 4D of the District of Columbia (Commissioner 4D06, Petworth, 2019-2022), and former Trustee of the Governing Board of St. Albans School.

Michael A. Gardner, CPA

Michael Gardner is a senior finance executive with over 25 years of experience leading finance, accounting, and strategic planning functions for high-growth, private equity–backed and publicly traded companies. His industry experience spans cloud communications, healthcare, data centers, eCommerce, telecommunications, manufacturing and Big Four public accounting. Michael brings deep expertise in financial strategy, FP&A, treasury and cash management, accounting operations, and financial reporting and controls. Known for building scalable finance organizations, improving financial transparency, and translating complex financial data into actionable insights that drive growth and value creation.

He is a Certified Public Accountant, VSCPA member and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from George Mason University.

Maria Jaramillo
Director of Enterprise Operations

As Director of Enterprise Operations, Ms. Jaramillo manages the organizations business effectiveness, renewal cycle management activities and oversees operations at the enterprise level. Maria brings more than 15 years of experience in commercial insurance, across life, health, as well as property and casualty programs. She has worked across industry sectors helping provide insurance and risk mitigation consultations, program development, insurance brokerage activities, policy administration, and claims handling. Prior to joining Ensurise, Maria worked for one of the largest privately held insurance brokerages in the Washington D.C. metro area. In this role she assisted large multi-national organizations with insurance placements, global program management, and other complex risk issues. She brings best in class business effectiveness expertise as well as project management via the development of key protocols, and procedures for account management.

Andres Franzetti
Vice President

As Vice President for Ensurise, Mr. Franzetti provides the leadership team with business development strategy and execution. He works closely with agency partners and leaders, enabling them to capitalize on Ensurise’s vision for value creation and opportunities for growth. Additionally, as a multi-lingual, dual-licensed insurance broker and Certified Risk Manager (CRM) who has worked closely with such organizations like the United Nations, Fortune 500 firms, and leading academic institutions, Mr. Franzetti has experience across the full risk spectrum in managing and mitigating enterprise risks.

As President for Ensurise agency partner, Risk Cooperative, Mr. Franzetti works with organizations to proactively address a myriad of risks, ranging from the de-risking of capital flows and overseas investments, to helping organizations build robust enterprise risk management and mitigation frameworks. Mr. Franzetti has extensive expertise in program development, including the design and launch of a cyber warranty program for leading cyber-security firms and Microsoft partners. He is a recognized thought leader in the risk and cybersecurity domain, frequent speaker and published author on all matters of risk management. He also serves as an adjunct fellow for the American Security Project, a think-tank started by former secretaries John Kerry and Chuck Hagel. In 2021, Mr. Franzetti was named to the National Small Business Association (NSBA) Leadership Council.

Mr. Franzetti hails from Argentina, and is fluent in Spanish and conversant in Italian. He leverages his international background and experiences toward creating a work environment that celebrates diversity. He holds a BS from the University of Colorado at Boulder in journalism, advertising and marketing.

Jenny Decker
Director of Marketing

Ms. Decker brings more than 15 years marketing and business development experience to Ensurise, having developed and launched marketing campaigns across industries. These initiatives have included brand positioning, editorial strategy, graphic design, video and photo editing, illustration and animation, digital asset management and marketing, and copywriting.

Since 2014, Ms. Decker has worked alongside the leadership team at Risk Cooperative to create and maintain the organization’s visual identity and strategic branding, which has been instrumental in positioning the organization as industry experts and innovators. Prior to joining Risk Cooperative, Ms. Decker owned and operated JND Creative, an independent design and strategy firm. Additionally, she has more than 20 years of experience in the meetings and events industry managing logistics and projects that bring people together.

Ms. Decker is a graduate of the College of William and Mary.
